Position: Outreach Manager-Campaigns
Care about animals—and the planet? Here's your chance to join a winning team that's working hard to improve the lives of farm animals! The Humane Society of the United States is hiring an outreach manager for its factory farming campaign.
Responsibilities include managing the campaign's work with local governments to enact factory farming-related resolutions and ordinances; assisting with state legislative and ballot initiative efforts; coordinating online communications, including member alerts, web features, and social networking; acting as a liaison with activists, members, students, and the public; working on university, corporate, legal, and other ongoing efforts of the campaign; and helping to publicize the campaign's work for farm animals.
Desired qualifications include a bachelor's degree or higher, great communication skills, and familiarity with and commitment to animal protection issues. Experience working in PR or communications preferred.
